It's been a while since we've posted about modern-day ghost towns like Centralia, Pennsylvania or Hashima, Japan, but these abandoned settlements never cease to fascinate us.

That's why we were so stoked to discover this quick and dirty rundown of cities history has left behind.

Some, like Centralia, Hashima, and Pripiyat, Ukraine will be familiar to regular readers of this blog. Others, like the pseudo-futuristic Sanzhi, Taiwan and the sand-choked Kolmanskop, Namibia are much more obscure.
